While the team behind The Yesters has long been recognized for their work as a film making duo, Billy Blue marks an exciting new direction for them, blending their visual expertise with their musical craft in a powerful new way. The track itself is a classic rock anthem, rich with raw emotion and thoughtful lyricism that speaks to inter generational reflection and resilience.
The music video for Billy Blue combines archival footage from pivotal moments in history, including JFK'’s funeral, decades of protests, and striking news clips. By grounding the video in these powerful visuals, The Yesters underscore the lasting influence of historical events on society today. The team behind THE YESTERS are Alyssa Rallo Bennett and Gary O. Bennett, a creative duo whose work spans both music and film.
Alyssa, a director, producer, and composer, has a background deeply rooted in storytelling, both visually and sonically. She has directed award-winning films such as The Pack, Abberant, ReRUN, and recent feature film The Arrival, and her music has been praised for its cinematic depth, with her debut album Anymore garnering critical attention. She continues to perform live at venues across NYC and LA, infusing her passion for storytelling into every artistic endeavor.
Gary, a writer, director, and producer, co-founded Stonestreet Studios, an independent film studio dedicated to socially conscious storytelling. His screenplays, including Rain Without Thunder, ReRUN, and The Arrival, have won acclaim at festivals worldwide. With a strong foundation in writing for film, television, and theater, he brings a rich narrative perspective to THE YESTERS, blending sharp storytelling with evocative soundscapes.
